The Esopus Foundation has just received a $25,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to support the publication of Esopus.
An event related to Esopus 18 features a reading by author Victoria Matsui and a short concert by muscian Cat Martino.
Acclaimed contemporary artist Robert Gober created a limited edition that will be sent as a complimentary gift to all current subscribers of the magazine next month.
After 3 years, 18 exhibitions and more than 30 events, Esopus Space closed its doors to the public on Tuesday, June 5th.
The launch party for Esopus 18 also served as the opening reception for a related installation by artist Bryan Nash Gill, “What Was Will Be Again.”
The 18th issue of Esopus, featuring artists' projects by Bill Burns, Bryan Nash Gill, and Mary Lum, has just reached newsstands in the U.S. and abroad.
