Sam Amidon was born and raised in Brattleboro, VT, and began performing music with his parents, folksingers Peter and Mary Alice Amidon, in his teens. His albums include But This Chicken Proved False-Hearted (Plug Research, 2007) and All Is Well (Bedroom Community, 2008) and I See the Sign (2010). Based in New York, Amidon (who contributed a track to the Esopus 12: Black and White CD) performed an intimate set of music to a packed house.
