Tod Lippy: Esopus Drawings, 2018
Esopus Drawings features 25 drawings by Esopus editor Tod Lippy completed over the spring and summer of 2018, many at an August 2018 residency at the MacDowell Colony. The edition, a printed facsimile of the sketchbook Lippy used, was published on the 15th anniversary of the Esopus Foundation Ltd. to commemorate this milestone by revisiting various aspects of the Foundation’s first decade and a half of operation.
Esopus Drawings was sent automatically to all Esopus Premium subscribers in October 2018. Every copy of the edition included a perforated blank sheet near the end of the book. On an enclosed insert, we invited recipients—including past contributors—to complete their own drawing related to Esopus. In the ensuing months, we received the artworks shown below, all of which are now part of the Esopus archive.
