Artist Bill Burns’s work about animals and advanced industrialism has been shown in solo projects at MKG127, Toronto (2021); the Biblioteca La Lechuza, Argentina (2020); the MacKenzie Art Gallery, Regina, Canada (2019); the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto (2016); the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London (2008); the KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin (2007); the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London (2008); the Fondacion Cristina Enea, San Sebastian, Spain (2010); and more. Recent group exhibitions include those at the Borderlines Biennial, Remai Modern, Saskatoon, Canada (2020–2021); the Bienal de Curitiba, Memorial de Curitiba, Curtiba, Brazil (2018); the Art Museum, University of Toronto, Toronto (2016); the Galerie Yoko Uhouda, Liege, Belgium (2016); the Bienal of the Moving Image, Bueno Aires, Argentina (2014); and the MASS MoCA, North Adams, MA (2012). Burns’s published works include A Book About Power 100 (Mark Pezinger Verlag, Vienna, 2018), Hans Ulrich Obrist Hear Us (YYZ BOOKS, Toronto, and Black Dog Publishing, London, 2016), and Dogs and Boats and Airplanes Children’s Choir (Big Pond Small Fish Productions, Toronto, 2012). He lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
