Stephen Adly Guirgis is a playwright whose works include Our Lady of 121st Street, Jesus Hopped the “A” Train, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, The Motherf**ker with the Hat (nominated for a 2011 Tony Award for Best Play), and Between Riverside and Crazy, which won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize in Drama. The play had its Broadway debut in 2022. Guirgis is a co-artistic director and a member of the LAByrinth Theater Company, and he has appeared as an actor in the films Margaret, Synecdoche, New York, and Palindromes, among others.
